Great race and course had a lot of fun. Jusr one comment in between mile 18 and a9 there was no one there with directions at an intersection. It was confusing whether to go straight along the path or down the street where there were more orange cones, It cost a bunch of us about an extra half-mile. Other than that it was a great race.

This was one of the most organized and great runs I have ever done! The weather was perfect and it made for a great race day! Thanks again for a job well done! I will run this race for many years to come!
Thanks,

It would cool to know how many runners per age group, per gender. How many male runners were in the 40-44 div? How many male runners in general?

It is possible to do some sorting. You do this by clicking on the desired heading. For example, if you click on the Age heading, it will sort the results by age. Or if you click on the Division heading, it will sort the results by Division. When you do this, it “remembers” the previous sort, so if you first click on the Age heading and then the Division heading, you’ll get the list grouped according to division, and sorted by age within the division. Try it!
I had a great experience in the race (half-marathon) and thought it well-organized. I loved the downhill finish after the tough hill on Cliff Drive. My only criticism: the second wave at the start was much too big. It contained everyone with a pace between 8 and 11 minutes per mile, and those runners couldn’t fit into the space provided. I ran an 8:25 pace, so I was in the second wave, but had to start at the back of that group because I couldn’t get into the “corral”. I spent the first three miles trying to weave in and out of a lot of much slower runners. There were some narrow stretches where this was nearly impossible to do. The second wave should have been for those between 8 and 10 minutes at most.

I just have to thank two incredible people who helped me complete my first marathon. THANK YOU JILL AND DOUG!!! Jill was my 4:00 pacer who not only did a great job pacing us but gave me valuable encouragement and tips along the way. Then Doug (her husband), who worked the first half of the course as the 3:30 pacer, was kind enough to run by my side the last 3 grueling miles, giving me encouragement and valuable advice when I started to cramp up the last couple miles. Because of these two wonderful people I was able to keep going and hit my goal of sub. 4hrs. (3:57:38). It’s people like you who remind me why I love to run!

This was my first marathon and I could not be happier with how well organized it was. The course and weather were beautiful but best of all…the people/volunteers were simply fantastic. Thank you all for making this such a memorable event for my family and myself!
